Aussie Summer Camps is an international summer camp for teens from around the world.
Boys and Girls aged between 13 and 17 years of age come together to explore just how big and how small the world really is! By gaining the confidence to travel, mix with other cultures, enjoy adventure in a new country, and learn new skills, campers will discover their full potential. Gain the confidence to follow your dreams of the future, wherever they may lead! There are many travel programs out there for teens.
What makes Aussie Summer Camps different, is the ability for 13 to 17 year olds to participate. Most International travel programs are aimed only at senior high or university students. There is so much benefit in international travel at an earlier age. Confidence, Independence, Global Awareness, International Understanding, and more. By incorporating international travel with a summer camp like setting, we provide a safe and secure environment where campers can feel at home in their surroundings, having a sense of familiarity to provide comfort amongst the many new and wonderful experiences.
How did Aussie Summer Camps begin?
Aussie Summer Camps has been born from the idea that kids from anywhere in the world can come together to have their best summer ever.
As a previous camp counsellor herself, camp director Michelle, has always had a vision of bringing the wonders of Australia to the world through the eyes of young people. Proud and passionate about the unique experiences that Australia has to offer, and keen to expand the culture that is ‘Summer Camps’, Aussie Summer Camps has grown from a seed of an idea to an amazing adventure! From there, came the addition of providing global experiences for Australian kids too.
Inbound Camp sessions are 3 weeks in duration. Camp is located in the beautiful northern state of Queensland, where temperatures average a warm 25 degrees celsius (77 farenheit) everyday. A pristine beach is at our doorstep for surf lessons and practice, and gigantic games of frisbee and beach cricket an Aussie tradition. We are also surrounded by majestic mountains for wilderness expeditions, and a calm bay for kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. See ‘ location’ for more info.
Aussie Summer Camps not only provides an amazing ‘traditional’ summer camp experience, but also includes side trips to get to the heart of the real Australia. The iconic Australia Zoo, the original crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin’s centre for wildlife conservation and education. The lower Great Barrier Reef- snorkel with giant turtles, manta rays and see the wonders of the marine environment. See ‘day trips and excursions’ for details.
Outbound sessions are 13-14 days in duration, and our destinations differ each session. For this year’s destination details, click here. Groups of up to 25 maximum, take part in activities unique to our destination. Think adventure, culture, sightseeing, and real experiences.
